Description
    "Dyed ground" (jizomari 地染), "main stencil" (omogata 主型). Misu 御 簾 is a fabric-lined (bamboo) blind that was used both as a privacy screen, as a room divider, or as a sun protection. The pattern of evergreen pine trees that withstand the severe winter cold is auspicious and a symbol of both longevity and sobriety, as well as the prosperity of the descendants.
