Description
    linker Teil des Diptychon (vgl. BI 17432-42) Kōchōrō Kunisadaga 香蝶楼國貞画 Das Triptychon kam anlässlich der Verlegung der großen Theaterhäuser an den Stadtrand nach Asakusa (1841/42) heraus. Die Serie sammelt verschiedene für Edo typische Geräusche/Klänge/Stimmen. Die beiden Kabuki-Schauspieler Bandō Hikosaburō 坂東彦三郎 (rechts) und Nakamura Utaemon 中村歌右衛門 (links) rauchen eine Pfeife. Hinter den Wolken die neuen Theaterhäuser.
