HELENE BERNATZIK [verh./mar. Pfersmann]
Textilkünstlerin, Kunsthandwerkerin, *9.10.1888 Wien, †2.2.1967 Wien; evang. – Tochter des Universitätsprofessors Edmund B. (1854–1919) und Josefine, geb. Tourelle. Nichte von Hugo Adolf B., der sich 1911 eine Villa von Josef Hoffmann erbauen ließ. 1906–10 Ausbildung an der Kunstschule für Frauen und Mädchen bei Adolf Boehm. 1911–13 Studium an der KGS bei Koloman Moser (FK Malerei) und Rosalia Rothansl (Werkstätte Textilarbeiten). 1914 Entwurf eines Pokals für den Goldschmied Oscar Dietrich. 1920 Heirat mit Camillo Pfersmann, Sektionsrat im Handelsministerium.
Für die WW arbeitete Helene Bernatzik zwischen 1914 und 1922, ab 1916 als Leiterin der neu gegründeten Künstlerwerkstätte. Die Modellbücher verzeichnen vor allem Perlarbeiten (Ketten und Lesezeichen).

In 1914, design of a goblet for goldsmith Oscar Dietrich. In 1920, she married Camillo Pfersmann, Section Councilor at the Ministry of Commerce.
For the WW, Helene Bernatzik worked between 1914 and 1922, as of 1916 as head of the newly founded artists’workshop. There are mostly beaded works (necklaces and bookmarks) recorded in the model books.
