In einer Bucht liegt ein Boot vor Anker, das vor allem zum Transport von Reis verwendet wird. Das Schiff ist noch nicht beladen, die Abdeckmatten liegen zusammengelegt am Boden. Die Mannschaft sitzt noch unter Deck, nur einer leert einen Eimer. Sonst herrscht Ruhe vor Arbeitsbeginn.
